Victoria (15 years old) is in love with Matey (15 years old), but he doesn’t want a relationship with her. Disappointed that Matey starts chatting with her beautiful sister - Sofia, Victoria decides to introduce herself as her on a social network and starts a relationship with him. Matey finds out about the deception, but he realizes that he is in love with Victoria, because of the value and sincerity in their communication, and not in the artificial and ostentatious beauty of Sofia - her sister. THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER (2022)
Sofia, present day. We see a family on the rocks – mom and dad have a huge fight in the car, while the two kids Tony and Chris (11 and 14) are present on the backseats, because the car won’t start and they can’t go see “Galaxy Defenders” in the cinema, advertised as the greatest movie ever. Mom leaves and dad takes the two disappointed kids home to make them the greatest sandwiches ever. Back home Tony finds an old camcorder in a box. He then proposes to his older brother to go out and shoot the greatest movie ever by themselves. The two boys are huge nerds, but Tony is kind of shy, so it takes an effort on Chris’ part to break him into character as the director, and Chris as the big star. A third kid shows (Bella, 14). She makes fun of the boys and tells them, that they are amateurs. She eventually hooks them up with The Pound – a 14 year old “businessman” who sells old broken toys – so they could buy “proper” props for the movie. INNER ROOM (2022)
Inner Room is a silent scream coming from a place you seem to know but never suspected existed inside you. A raw, invisible reflection of the unbearable weight of being… A place where you are the prisoner, the warden and the only savior. The short dance film – at once intimate and painfully honest, is dedicated to the fight against depression. In fire safety guidelines, an “inner room” is a room where the only escape route is through another room. The plot follows a young woman's surreal encounter with her own self in the abstract space of her inner world. It weaves together movement and narrative to reveal the amalgamation of complex emotions brought on by the state of depression. A polymorphous female character is the carrier of suspense building up throughout the film. It tells a delicate yet intense story about the personal struggle between despair and hope. A sunny day, around 12 noon, a couple in love are driving in a car and listening to music. At one point, the car stops, the girl gets out of the car to perform a physiological need. On the tree next to her is a leaf that says a young boy is missing. He gets back in the car and they drive off. They arrive at a mountain place where they will have a picnic. A girl with brown hair, a gentle face and wearing a white dress is taking out the groceries they brought for the picnic from the trunk of the car, while a boy with dark hair wearing leather pants and a black T-shirt is laying the blanket on the grass. Warm sun rays penetrate through the leaves and tree canopy and paint the scene with strong and fresh colors in which shadows fall. While everything seems to be flowing harmoniously and radiating with love, segments and details appear that not everything is as it seems... JOANNA'S KITCHEN (2022)
A young woman presents her weekly culinary podcast – Joanna’s Kitchen; today: Coq au vin. Nothing unusual, except the fact that she’s pretty tensed, behaving a bit chaotically and confused. After a few minutes, unexpectedly, her phone rings. At the other end, there is someone who corrects her about certain details of the recipe. In a mix of funny reactions, genuine cooking and a mystery underneath the action, Joanna manages to finish her coq au vin in a hectic way, while inserting specific, emphasized words among the cliché utterances of the recipe. The last call she gets takes her away from the camera and we only hear what was actually going on: she was constrained to say all those words during the podcast by somebody who had kidnapped her little boy. Now, as the work is done, she may take her child back. What we eventually understand, is that all those words and formulae that Joanna has mentioned, were encoded messages for some terrorists who planned a bomb attack, that very evening.
